riseofatlantis is an original roleplay. Most of the lore, setting and specifics of Atlantis were written and invented by us. As such, we ask you not to copy anything; a lot of hard work and hours of dedication were put into setting this all up, and we'd hate to see someone else stealing it from us.

That being said, some aspects were heavily inspired by other roleplays and various different sources, and we want to give them credit for it:

The idea of hosting your main page on a different site than tumblr was first used by childrenofathoria-rp. We asked them if they had any problems with us doing the same, and they do not mind.

Some inspiration was drawn from movies such as Disney's Atlantis, for example the look of traditional machines and parts of the Atlantean language. On a different note, we used various language generators and a fan-made Atlantean dictionary for some of the words used. "Nekeiy" for example comes directly from a generator (dialectcreator.com), while "degim" (greetings) is taken from a dictionary that can be found here.

Additionally, there were influences from the video game Bioshock.

None of the pictures used for our graphics belong to us. We do not claim any copyright and will happily take a picture down if the artist wants us to. If you wish to be credited, just send us a message and we will do so here.
