It has been little more than a myth for several thousand years - the infamous city of Atlantis, believed to have sunken to the bottom of the ocean. A legend, passed on from one generation to the next, significant in fiction and tales only. If you had gone to scientists and had claimed Atlantis is or was real once, they would have laughed at you, for everyone believed it to be nothing more than a fantasy.
 

How wrong they were.

 

When a strange and sudden earthquake occurred on the eighth of July 2015, no one would have expected a city to rise from the depths. But there it was. Nearly as large as Berlin and surrounded by a force field protecting its buildings from the waves, the city of Atlantis emerged from the ocean. On flying machines the Atlanteans presented themselves to the world, bringing with them technology far more advanced, more capable and superior, than anything the surface world could have invented; and they brought knowledge of a power so vast and extraordinary that their appearance completely changed the world: Magic.

 

Only a few weeks have passed since then and already a sheer endless stream of visitors has arrived in Atlantis. Everything in the ancient nation appears to be perfect: Technology, science and medicine so advanced that almost all diseases known to humankind have been eradicated. Equality, tolerance and a tightly-knit, loving community. Religion and science working hand-in-hand to explore the universe, to search for humanity's purpose and to live the best life possible. No such thing as poverty, inequality, hunger or discrimination.

To many, Atlantis embodies the concepts of an utopia.
 

However, in this city nothing is what it seems. Beneath its mask lies an ugly, horrible truth – a regime controlling its people through means of terror and manipulation, a whole population succumbing to addiction, and the murdering of citizens... All of this had stayed hidden for thousands of years, but the disappearance of Valerie Bass, daughter of an important politician, threatens to expose the regime's crimes. With the resistance coming out of hiding, the Atlantean people beginning to doub their government and foreigners trying to solve the crime, it seems like the regime will be overthrown.

 

But it will not go down without a fight.
